Saginaw Area Watermedia Artists (SAWA) is a Michigan non-profit  organization
composed of artists from the Saginaw and Mid-Michigan area who meet once a month for the
purpose of learning about watermedia, growing in our artistic endeavors,
socializing, and offering fine art to the community.

Special thanks go to Amanda French for speaking at our March meeting. Amanda shared her experiences of creating "Happy Mistakes."

SAWA Spirit of Art

Congratulations and special thanks go out to Jan Faerber and the rest of the committee, and SAWA members for the beautiful show put on at the Andersen Enrichment Center on Nov. 11th & 12th. So much effort from so many goes into putting on a successful show.

The 17 members who participated in this show presented an array of pieces using a variety of media, including watercolor, acrylic, oil, pastel, and zentangle designs. The fall decor, and calming music provided a wonderful backdrop to the group's creative pieces.

Thanks to everyone who purchased art, participated in the silent auction, or admired the art of SAWA. Proceeds from this show will be used in the funding of an Art Scholarship.

OUR PURPOSE:
To promote understanding, participation, and love of the fine visual art of painting
as it pertains to the water mediums of watercolor, acrylics, goache, casein, inks and collage, for
 educational, literary and charitable purposes.
